It is unique. I have been developing my collection now for the last two years, so I’m not an expert by any means, but I have not come across anything like it before.
The wood notes are very prominent when you first smell the fragrance and they are sharp. After those wood notes hit it rounds out with the coconut, rice pudding, and vanilla bean notes. Then finishes off with that spiciness coming in from the saffron and cardamom. The cream and fig are anchoring throughout all of the layers of the scent, giving it that lactonic feeling.
Because of the heavy wood notes, it could be a unisex fragrance, leaning a little more feminine. It is not a gourmand scent, it is not sweet. It is a woody scent, softened by some common scents found in gourmand fragrances.
Overall, a very unique and beautiful fragrance, but for me, it is very sharp. I’m still wearing it and trying to see how I feel with the dry down. For the sharpness reason, it’s a four out of five stars for me.
Still testing it out. I get a spicy arroz con Leche at the dry down, but it takes a very long time to get there. It stays at a very sharp sour note for a very long time. I’m not sure how I feel about that smell.
Blended to perfection. I’m very picky when it comes to certain notes. And I must say Steph nailed it.🩷🩷The rice pudding, the fig, the cardamom, the vanilla just come together so lovely and she last hrs. This is truly a lovely gourmand fragrance 💥💥💥
This is a unique and beautiful rich comforting scent. Not a sweet gourmand so if that’s what you’re expecting this is not it. It does have a touch of sweetness from the vanilla but it’s more a creamy cardamom and lactonic vibe. I have almost 50 perfumes so everything starts to smell like something else in my collection. Not this one. I’d say if you’re a Gris Charnel fan you will like this. It’s not the same or similar scent but the… genre is giving the same feel. That warm cozy sweater while reading a good book scent. Stephanie did an amazing job with this collaboration.
Wow o wow!!!! The smell is amazing! I can smell every note, every ingredient…….how is this possible? Every time I bring it to my nose it’s just better!!
