Thanksgiving: A Cornucopia of Scent Memory...

In the fragrance world we talk a lot about the connection between scent and memory. One can easily argue that Thanksgiving exemplifies scent memory on steroids! It was hands down my favorite Holiday growing up. The savory smell of the turkey roasting, the sweet + spicy aromas of the pumpkin pies waiting to be devoured and the chestnuts baking in the oven. Along with the delicious smells + tasty food it was also a peaceful day in my family of seven. To this day when I begin to smell the aromas coming out of the kitchen it evokes a peaceful stillness in me. This Thanksgiving think about a memory that the aromas conjure up for you.
