How did you get into makeup?
When we moved here from Brazil, I was enrolled in a catholic private school. They were VERY strict and no makeup or nail polish was allowed. This, of course, made me lust for makeup even more! Since I was a late starter with it all, I had more accessibility to online sources. As soon as I found out about cruelty-free cosmetics I made it my mission to spread the word and find great accessible products to help others also become cruelty-free! My morning makeup routine helps calm my anxiety as well, so it's a win win :)
Who is your beauty icon or favorite beauty guru?
I have come to the conclusion that my goal right now is to morph into a French pop singer from the 1960s. I love Jane Birkin, Francoise Hardy and Brigitte Bardot's styles. I love finding unique looks that I can dupe with cruelty-free products!
You're stranded on a deserted island and you're granted 3 beauty items…what are your must have choices?
I think I would focus most on skincare if I were stranded! I would absolutely need a sunscreen since I'm currently ghostly, and my favorite has to be Bare Republic's. I would also have my Ellovi lip butter, and top all of this off with a DefineMe fragrance so my body odors wouldn't drive me cuckoo ;)!
What is one beauty tip you can give that works for anyone?
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate- inside and out! Drink a lot of water and eat a vegan diet. Your body will thank you in many ways! My acne is gone since adopting a better lifestyle, and I haven't been sick in over 3 years. True beauty is causing the least harm to others and yourself. Also, I have combo to oily skin, and I notice that when I do not properly hydrate my skin with moisturizer it will overproduce oils and makeup products will not work as well.
Why is cruelty-free and vegan beauty products important to you?
I don't believe in sacrificing an innocent creature's life for superficial gain. I also do not believe in exploiting an animal, even if it is claimed to be done so "humanely". The amazing vegan and cruelty-free brands we have available are proof that none of it is necessary anyway!
If you could sing any song American idol which would be?
Oooo, that's a tough one! I think it would have to be Nancy Sinatra's 'These Boots Are Made for Walkin', or 'Corcovado' by Antonio Carlos Jobim.
Who are your favorite Instagram accounts to follow?
I've recently cleaned out my account because I was finding myself uninspired and conventionally stuck to "instagram clones". I love following accounts that have original and creative content, not just properly curated photos that depict a "perfect lifestyle". I also consider myself an intersectional feminist, so I follow quite a few diverse accounts as well.

Sofia Isabel is INCREDIBLE, but I genuinely cannot pick a favorite. The scents fit every single mood from floral to sweet to sexy- you just can't go wrong
